In response to this gap between crisis and care, I offer professional peer support for individuals and families navigating addiction recovery, trauma, and destabilizing life events. This work is designed to complement therapy rather than replace it, providing rapid-response support when situations become overwhelming and waiting for the next clinical appointment is not enough. Drawing on experience in pastoral ministry, addiction medicine, and crisis response, the focus is simple: to help stabilize difficult moments, offer grounded perspective, and support people in protecting their dignity while they find their footing again.

My work in crisis peer support is shaped by both theological training and frontline mental health experience. I hold a Master of Divinity from Huron University College and a Bachelor of Theology from Western University, along with Clinical Pastoral Education in a hospital mental health setting.

Professionally, I have worked on the front lines of addiction and crisis response as a Peer Support Specialist in Rapid Access Addiction Medicine with the Canadian Mental Health Association, and as part of the pioneer team that helped establish Toronto’s fourth emergency service — the Toronto Community Crisis Service.

My training includes Suicide Intervention (LivingWorks), Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI), CBT Tools for Thinking Differently (CTRI), Case Management, and Opioid Use Disorder Treatment through the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine, along with Basic Life Support and CPR through the Canadian Red Cross.

This work is grounded in a simple conviction: when people and families are facing crisis, what they often need most is calm presence, practical guidance, and someone who understands the terrain.
